Lusca, the legendary inhabitant of the ancient blues holes of the Bahamas. Rumored to be of tremendous beauty, she is half woman and half octopus. Local fishermen are fearful of the shoreline at night where calls to them in an attempt to lure them into the surf. If a fisherman falls for her trickery, she drags them into the depths to feast on their bones. Some fishermen are so fearful of Lusca that they dare not venture into the blue holes to fish for the fear of her tentacles stealing them from their boats.
