As divers it’s our responsibility to speak for those who don’t have a voice. Every year 26-73 million sharks are stripped of their fin’s and kicked back into the ocean by unscrupulous fisheries. These sharks are usually still alive left to suffer a hideous death. They are an important piece to the ocean’s ecosystem and are quickly becoming extinct. The design depicts a bloody hammerhead shark stripped of its fins on the vessel’s deck. The back of the design tells the story of the sharks’ plight all for a cup of soup and traditional remedies.
